My focus this week — Situational Leadership, from Paul Hersey and Kenneth Blanchard, — has been called by some the definitive leadership style.The Hersey-Blanchard model focuses on practical leadership development: the attributes and styles of the followers.. We are all different. Applying the Situational Leadership Approach I work in the accounting field for the Department of Defense and in my office; where there are five employees and one supervisor. In this foundational work, the two developed the model of Situational Leadership. The best way to explain what a situational leader does is by sharing examples of how the situational leadership model can be used most effectively, and who has already done so.
